BLUETTI Charger 2 | 1200W Alternator & Solar Dual DC Charger
The BLUETTI Charger 2 allows a compatible portable power station to be charged directly from a vehicle alternator and solar panels.
It can accept up to 800W from the vehicle and up to 600W from solar, with a maximum combined charging output of 1,200W. The actual charging rate will depend on the vehicle, available solar power and the DC input limit of the connected power station.
Alternator and solar charging together
The Charger 2 can use alternator charging, solar charging or both sources at the same time. Solar power is given priority, with the vehicle supplying the remaining power required up to the 1,200W combined limit.
This removes the need to disconnect and change charging cables when moving between driving and solar charging.
Suitable vehicles
The Charger 2 is designed for vehicles with a standard 12V or 24V starter battery, including suitable vans, campervans, motorhomes and trucks.
It can also be used with hybrid vehicles that have a separate starter battery and alternator. It is not compatible with fully electric vehicles.
Power station compatibility
BLUETTI lists the Charger 2 as compatible with all BLUETTI portable power stations and most third-party power stations that accept solar charging through an MC4 connection.
The correct output voltage and connection cable must be used for the receiving power station. Auto-Connect can set the voltage automatically for most BLUETTI models, although the AC200MAX requires manual voltage selection through the BLUETTI app.

App control and vehicle battery protection
Charging status, output voltage and operating settings can be monitored and adjusted through the BLUETTI app.
The Charger 2 monitors the vehicle battery voltage and adjusts the charging power when required. It automatically stops drawing power from the starter battery shortly after the engine is switched off.
A separate D+ signal cable may be required for vehicles fitted with a smart alternator. The D+ cable is sold separately.
Expansion battery and DC output options
The bidirectional BAT port can be connected to compatible BLUETTI expansion batteries. Charging priority between the power station and expansion battery can be managed through the BLUETTI app.
The Charger 2 can also be used with the separately available BLUETTI DC Hub to provide up to 600W of 12V or 24V DC output for suitable DC equipment.
Installation
The Charger 2 connects directly to the vehicle starter battery and must be installed with the correct cabling, fuse protection and ventilation clearance.
BLUETTI recommends professional installation. The vehicle manufacturer should also be consulted where installation could affect the vehicle warranty.
The Charger 2 has an IP20 protection rating and should be installed in a dry, properly ventilated location inside the vehicle. It is not suitable for installation where it may be exposed to water.
