Off Your Grid Ltd – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the sale and supply of goods by Off Your Grid Ltd, an Irish-registered business supplying portable power stations, solar panels, and accessories. They comply with Irish consumer protection law and EU distance-selling rules.

2. Definitions

Consumer: A person acting wholly or mainly outside their business, trade, or profession.
Business Customer: Any person or organisation purchasing goods wholly or mainly for business, trade, institutional or public-sector use.
Goods: Portable power stations, solar panels, accessories, and other products sold by us.


3. Application of These Terms

3.1 These Terms apply to all orders placed with Off Your Grid Ltd unless agreed otherwise in writing.
3.2 Certain rights apply only to Consumers. These are clearly marked.
3.3 These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under Irish law.


4. Consumer Rights

If you are a Consumer, Irish law provides you with key protections:

  • Goods must be as described, fit for purpose, of satisfactory quality, and durable.

  • If something goes wrong, you are entitled to a remedy, including repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund, at no cost and within a reasonable time.

  • These rights apply regardless of any manufacturer warranty.


5. Orders and Contract Formation

5.1 A binding contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order.
5.2 For Business Customers, quotes are valid for 14 days and non-binding until confirmed.
5.3 We may cancel an order before dispatch if goods are unavailable or pricing is clearly incorrect. If already paid, we will refund the full amount.
5.4 Title passes once full payment is received and delivery completed.


6. Pricing and Payment

6.1 All prices are in euro (€) and include VAT unless stated.
6.2 Delivery charges are shown at checkout.
6.3 We charge a flat €5 delivery fee for small orders under €50. If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, we will refund this charge in full. No delivery charges apply to orders over €50.
6.4 Payment must be completed before dispatch unless agreed in writing.


7. Delivery and Risk

Consumers

7.1 Risk remains with us until you (or someone you nominate) receives the goods.
7.2 Expected delivery is typically 2–5 working days unless otherwise stated.
7.3 If we do not deliver within the agreed time, you may cancel after a reasonable extension period.
7.4 We will resolve any delivery loss or damage in line with your consumer rights.

Business Customers

7.5 Risk transfers on delivery to the shipping address.
7.6 Delivery dates are estimates only unless confirmed in writing.


8. Consumer Right to Cancel (Distance Sales)

8.1 If you are a Consumer, you may cancel your online order within 14 calendar days from:

  • The day you receive your goods, or

  • The day you receive the last item in a multi-part order.

8.2 To cancel, email us at info@offyourgrid.ie or post a clear written notice to our returns address (see section 1).
8.3 We will refund all payments received — including standard delivery — within 14 days of your cancellation notice or once we’ve received the goods back, whichever is later.
8.4 You are responsible for return shipping unless the goods are faulty or misdescribed. We can estimate return costs upon request.
8.5 Goods must be returned in their original condition, having been handled only as necessary to inspect. We may deduct for any loss in value caused by handling beyond this.


9. Faulty Goods – Remedies

If your item is faulty or not as promised, you have a right under Irish law to a:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Price reduction

  • Refund (full or partial, depending on the situation)

These remedies are provided at no cost to you, including any return shipping. Remedies must be provided within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience.


10. Business Customers – Scope and Terms

10.1 We supply equipment only — no installation, system design, or certification. (“Certification” refers to any formal sign-off, compliance paperwork, or regulatory approval relating to electrical work, vehicle integration, or installation — including RECI, PAT testing, NSAI, SEAI, or insurance documentation. These must be arranged by the customer with a qualified professional.)
10.2 All permanent electrical work must be done by a qualified Irish electrician.
10.3 Goods are not intended for critical medical or life-support applications.
10.4 Business purchases do not include cancellation or change-of-mind return rights.
10.5 Any return or refund is discretionary and must be agreed in writing.

10.6 Any performance claims or use-case descriptions are general in nature and not a substitute for system design or professional advice.


11. Manufacturer Warranties

11.1 Some products come with a manufacturer warranty.
11.2 These warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are in addition to your rights under Irish law (for consumers).
11.3 For business customers, warranty terms may differ and are subject to manufacturer conditions.


12. Limitation of Liability

Consumers

12.1 We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any matter that cannot be limited under Irish law.
12.2 Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a Consumer.

Business Customers

12.3 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied.
12.4 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect loss including loss of profit, downtime, or data.


13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure caused by events beyond our control — including extreme weather, supply chain disruption, or transport problems.


14. Public-Sector and Institutional Supply

For public bodies or institutional customers, separate procurement terms may apply. These must be agreed in writing.


15. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
