JTM Energy 5kW Wheeled Unit – High-Output Mobile Power

For film and television production, events, workshops, construction support and other mobile work across Ireland, the JTM Energy 5kW Wheeled Unit combines 5,040Wh of energy storage with 5,000W of rated pure sine wave AC output.

Its steel housing, integrated wheels and pull handle provide a practical way to move the 68kg unit between working locations. Alongside two Type-G three-pin AC sockets, it includes a dedicated industrial AC outlet stated at 30A maximum. All connected loads remain subject to the unit’s total 5,000W rated output.

• 5,000W Rated AC Output

The unit provides 5,000W rated AC output with a stated peak output of 7,000W. The peak duration is not stated, so equipment with high starting loads should be checked for suitability before use.

• 5,040Wh Energy Storage

The stated battery capacity is 5,040Wh at 48V and 105Ah. Actual operating time depends on the connected load, starting demand, operating conditions and conversion losses.

• Three AC Connection Points

The front panel provides two UK/Irish three-pin socket outlets and one industrial AC outlet. The 5,000W rating is the total rated output of the unit and must not be treated as the permitted load through either three-pin socket. Always observe the rating of each outlet, plug, cable and connected appliance.

• AC and Solar Charging

AC charging is rated at up to 2,500W. The solar input accepts up to 2,100W, with a stated MPPT operating range of 18-140V DC and 15A. Solar panels must be selected and connected within all stated voltage, current and power limits.

• Wheeled Steel Housing

The 68kg unit uses a steel enclosure with integrated wheels and a luggage-style pull handle. It is intended to be moved on suitable level surfaces; lifting and vehicle loading should be planned for its weight.

• USB and Vehicle Charging Inputs

The unit includes USB-A and USB-C PD outputs rated at up to 18W each. A 12-15V DC vehicle input rated at 8A is provided through the PV port.

• Battery and System Protection

The stated protection functions cover overload, over-temperature, short circuit and over-discharge. Cooling is described as smart air cooling with a management IC.

• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Connectivity

The 5kW unit supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity through the third-party Winergy app. JTM Energy is developing its own app. The exact monitoring and control functions have not yet been confirmed.

• Three-Year Warranty

The unit is supplied with a three-year warranty. Faults are assessed following inspection to determine whether the case is covered by warranty or requires a repair. Contact Off Your Grid before returning any unit.
